Never Trust a Skinny Cook! And make sure you never get locked in a commercial freezer!
These two pieces of wisdom come from the Ringwood Caf Manager, Sarah Carr. You don’t want to get locked in a commercial freezer because you can die in 14 minutes!! Sarah can tell you about how it feels to be locked in for half that time! And, the skinny cook advice?... I’ll leave you to work that out.
If you spend just a short time talking to Sarah you quickly realise two things, (1) that she has a wonderful sense of humour and, (2) that she has passion – for cooking, doing things well, and seeing all of life as ministry.
With a Diploma in Hospitality Management, a Tabor Bachelor of Ministry and lots of catering and cooking experience, Sarah is well qualified for the task of managing the Ringwood Caf.
The menu is full of fresh, flavoursome food with an emphasis on sourcing ingredients from the local area. You’ll find focaccias with intriguing names like “The Taborian”, “The Thanksgiving” or “The Hippy”, wraps, rice paper rolls, pies, quiche, homemade muffins and cake of the day, just to name a few, all at reasonable prices.
The Caf will be open for business Monday to Thursday and, if there is sufficient demand, for dinner on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
