Diploma in Christian Ministry and Theology

The Diploma in Christian Ministry and Theology teaches the application of theological knowledge with substantial depth in some areas and a broad diversity of skill. Participates are provided with a range of knowledge and skills for tasks, roles and functions in both varied and highly specific contexts. These skills will assist students in serving effectively in roles such as pastors, workers in churches, parishes, para-church organisations, missionary organisations and religious education.

Graduates from both the Certificate IV and Diploma in Christian Ministry and Theology may find employment as church workers, religious education instructors, missionary workers, ministers, church planters and mission support workers depending on the requirements of the organisation.

Level and Duration of Course

  • The course has been developed as a two year full-time equivalent program with the first year being the nested Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology program.
  • Students must successfully complete the Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology followed by an additional 28 credit points in the Diploma award, for a total of 48 credit points.
